"An experience that will last a lifetime."
The California Bears of San Ramon organization continuously
strives to positively enhance the lives of youth sports participants and their families by maintaining an environment that promotes teamwork among coaches, players, and parents, trains for success through peak physical conditioning, and builds character through a winning attitude
of good sportsmanship.
Last Weekend’s Game/Competition Recap:
The Bears had a great run - here are the results from this week:
JPW - loss 14-0
PW - loss 28-0
JM - loss 27-14
M - loss 14-12
We are very proud of all the teams!
Update on JPW, Zack Gamble - Zack is resting at home with a severe sprain (not a dislocation as previously thought). We are hoping that he will recover quickly. We will have footballs to sign at the equipment returns. Please bring you son to sign the ball for Zack to wish him well.
Please rsvp to your team mom regarding your attendance at the banquet - December 7.
Equipment return dates -
JPW and PW - Tuesday at the shed at 6:30
JM and M - Wednesday at the shed at 6:30
Please clean everything including the bag. You may keep the mouthguard, Bears shorts, practice jersey and socks. If you want to keep your helmet decals, please remove before you come - you do not have to remove them if you don't want them.
All refund checks will be distributed as soon as we have all your gear.
2009 Board Membership Positions
If you are still interested in becoming a Board Member, please email by the end of this week. We are trying to finalize our list so we may begin the selection process. This is a great opportunity for those who are interested in getting involved by helping make important decisions about your son or daughter's program. You can make a difference!

DID YOU KNOW?
All coaches on the cheer and football squads have to be certified by the league in order to be on the field. The coaches were required to attend a CPR/First Aid course during the summer, a mandatory coaches’ clinic that was on a Saturday during the summer (4 hours) put on by the league where all rules and information were learned, and they also had to complete a comprehensive packet that had to be accepted and approved by the league. Your coaches have been trained and approved by the league in order to participate in our program. Please say thank you to your coaches for their dedication to your kids and our Bears program. They are out there because they love teaching the game of football and cheer to many young people in our community. Thanks coaches!!
